APG Purchases BIE in Akron and Cleveland, Ohio

APG Office Furnishings, Inc. recently finalized the purchase of Business Interiors and Environments, Inc. (BIE) in Akron and Cleveland, Ohio. Herman Miller was the primary product manufacturer represented by both office furniture dealerships. APG has been a member of the Herman Miller Certified Dealer Network for the past 40 years and is now the sole distributor for Herman Miller in Northeast Ohio.

With a single Herman Miller distribution channel now in place in Akron and Cleveland this will foster a stronger partnering relationship between Herman Miller and APG. This partnership will enable the APG and Herman Miller team to create a clear focus in the marketplace with their customers, the community and the local Architectural & Design firms.

APG will work to integrate their new customer base and provide them with the same high standards of customer satisfaction and service that their current customer partners have come to expect. Through the merging of APG’s current staff with key members of the BIE team the interaction with their new customer’s should be a seamless process.

APG is owned by Connie Goins, President and CEO and has a total of 5 locations including; Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, Akron, Ohio and Memphis, Tennessee. APG has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
